Biology Major: 28-32 Hours

At least 15 biology credit hours must be at or above 300 level

Required Biology Courses 6-14 Hours

BI101, BI101L, BI102, and BI102L: If not taken in the Gen. Ed. Req.

At least four (4) from the following 15 Hours

One (1) Capstone Experience 3 Hours

SC464: Biology.

SC460 and SC468: Capstone.

Supporting Coursework: Biology majors should have a broad academic background, especially in math and science. Students will be able to select individual courses that best meet their goals and satisfy degree requirements, but the following represent general recommendations for a solid Biology degree. It is important for Biology majors to have at least two general Chemistry courses (CH111/114). Math skills are important for biologists, and courses in College Algebra and Statistics (MA103/105) are recommended. At least one Physics course is recommended (PH111).
