BI303 Early Vertebrates
This course will explain the origin of the vertebrates from the chordates. It will cover a diverse range of topics to include: anatomy, physiology, phylogeny, behaviors and ecology for the: jawless fishes, sharks, skates and rays as well as bony fish, amphibians and reptiles. It will show the evolutionary relationships between the vertebrates and the relationships with these groups and the other members of the animal kingdom. Three lectures. Prerequisites: BI101 - General Biology I, BI102 - General Biology
