PTA103 Modalities for the PTA
Basic principles and application techniques of physical agents related to the practice of physical therapy will be introduced. Physiologic responses, indications and contraindications of commonly utilized modalities and massage will be included. The lab portion of the course is designed to allow application and demonstration of proficiency in the use of physical modalities and massage. Co-Requisites: BI109 - Human Anatomy and Physiology and PTA101 - Essential Skills for the PTA. Prerequisites: PTA100 Introduction to Physical Therapy
