NU319 Adaptation Nursing Applications & Assessment

This course allows the student to develop the assessment skills, basic nursing skills, and terminology necessary to provide competent care for clients of varying ages, ethnic backgrounds, and need states applying the adaptation nursing model. The knowledge gained in this course will assist the student nurse in holistically assessing the adaptation level of client, family, and community across the lifespan. Contact hours meet the Missouri State Board of Nursing 3:1 ratio for credit awarded (6 lecture/1 lab/2 clinical)

Prerequisite

Students must be admitted to the nursing program to be eligible for thiscourse.

Corequisite

Students enrolled in NU319 must also be concurrently enrolled in NU319L and NU319CL. The lab and clinical portions of this course cannot be taken separately. A student who needs to repeat one aspect of the course must repeat all aspects.
