Cybersecurity Minor

The Cybersecurity major prepares students for a high-demand career in information security, focusing on the protection of critical assets such as credit card information, intellectual property, public utilities, and personally identifiable information stored on computing devices. This program emphasizes practical skills and knowledge in cybersecurity principles, technologies, and practices.


Cybersecurity program Outcomes:

  • Students will possess a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and practices.
  • Students will have developed practical skills in areas such as network security, ethical hacking, secure development, and incident response.
  • Students will understand the legal and ethical considerations surrounding cybersecurity, including compliance with cybersecurity laws and regulations.
  • Students will be able to analyze cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and incidents critically and develop effective solutions.
