Academic Probation
Academic probation is imposed after the second instance of failure to achieve measures of satisfactory academic progress. Academic probation indicates that the student is at risk of not being on track for graduation and may lose eligibility to participate in opportunities available to full time students at CMU.

Students will receive a notice of academic probation and it will be noted on their transcript.

Students on academic probation will be advised to meet with their academic advisor to discuss a plan for achieving satisfactory academic progress.

Students may be required to take certain courses to help them achieve satisfactory academic progress.

Students are removed from academic probation once they achieve the measures of satisfactory academic progress.
