BA or BS in Business

The Division of Accounting, Business, and Economics offers a progressive Business program, which combines professional preparation with a liberal arts education. The purpose of this program is to develop the important personal characteristics of confidence in oneself, ability to work with others, written and oral communication skills, technical competence, mathematical skills, moral awareness, and ethical values. The major in Business will prepare the student for graduate school (MBA or Law) or for a career in industry, entrepreneurship or public service.


Academic Requirements for Business Degree Completion

To earn a Business degree, students must maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA in their major. A minimum grade of 'C' is required in the BU480 capstone course

To successfully earn a business degree, students must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0. Additionally, a grade of "C" or higher is required in BU480, the Business Capstone Course, to demonstrate proficiency in core business concepts and strategic application.

A student may be able to demonstrate fluency in at least one foreign language in place of the minors.
