AC340 Income Tax Accounting

This course provides a survey of individual federal income tax concepts and compliance requirements. Students will examine the structure and application of tax law as it relates to individuals and basic business activities. Emphasis is placed on understanding how tax information is prepared, analyzed, and reported using IRS forms and schedules. The course also develops students’ ability to apply tax rules accurately and communicate tax information in a clear and professional manner while reinforcing ethical responsibility and compliance with federal tax regulations. Prerequisites: AC201 - Principles of Accounting.
